More information about hosting a House Party:
What can you expect if you host a "Conversations with Deb" House Party?
The house party would be held either inside or outside your house. It should take about 1.5
hours and could be about 12 people. The main goal is to have a conversation with Deb in
which everyone can participate. We provide a contribution envelope and tell attendees
about Deb's website, but collecting donations is a very minor piece of getting together for a
House Party. We take care of the logistics, you provide the venue. It can be as simple as a
morning coffee with a few friends, or as elaborate as you like. Of course, we would
schedule it at your convenience.
Why host a House Party?
Deb says: "I want to have a series of conversations in as many precincts as possible over
the next couple of months. Lots of people like you know me, but I am sure many of your
neighbors do not. I would like to meet them, tell them a little bit about myself and give them
an opportunity to talk with me about the issues that are important to them as well as any
possible solutions they might have. I want these conversations to be useful and to make a
positive difference for people! "
What should I do?
If you might be interested in hosting a House Party, please let us know by visiting the
"Volunteer" page of Deb's website, entering your contact information, clicking on the "Host a
House Party" check box, and submitting the form. The campaign representative who
contacts you will be happy to talk with you more about how House Parties work and answer
any questions you might have.
Thanks for your interest in helping Deb's campaign!
